Welcome to the Olympic Kayak Club web page.
Our club consists of members from throughout the Puget Sound and Kitsap Peninsula areas. We have all levels of paddlers from beginner to expert, yet we all share the same passion for the sport. Please feel free to join us, new members are always welcome as are the occasional guests. We have 2 major events each year. The Puget Sound Challenge and Paddle Kitsap.
Home of the Puget Sound Challenge. This 150 NM paddling challenge goes out to all kayakers, canoers, rowers, and any human powered craft to complete the course in one year. The paddle is from Belfair to Allyn, WA. This fundraiser helps support the Washington Water Trails.
Home of Paddle Kitsap. This spectacular 2 day fully supported paddle will be the highlight of your paddling year. Whether its a kayak, canoe, rowing, or other human powered craft you will enjoy the spectacular natural beauty, challenge of the course, and the making of your new paddling friends.

Our next club meeting is Tuesday March 10th at 7PM at Olympic Outdoor Center. It is very important that you attend to help with the planning of the Puget Sound Challenge. We will be assigning Point of Contacts as well as organizing the first paddle on April 4th. Oh and having allot of FUN with the group.

Many updates to the web site. Trip directions using google map as well as direct links from the Challenge segments to maps. We are now getting signups for the Challenge most everyday.

To register for the Puget Sound Challenge click the "The Challenge" in the menu bar and then click Sign-up on the Challenge Page. The donation for the paddle is $20 which goes towards running the challenge, a donation to water trails, and your 3x3 sticker. Thanks and Happy Paddling!

To all members and clubs. A planning meeting to set the paddle schedule for the Puget SOund Challenge has been set. It is Tuesday December 16th at 6:30PM at Olympic Outdoor Center. Please come with charts, tide books, and guide books.
